The Institute has a broad marine remit and is engaged in R&D on a diverse range of areas incl. marine transport, oceanography, fisheries, aquaculture, environment, research vessel operations, climate change and seabed mapping. Fisheries Ecosystem Advisory Services (FEAS) research, assess and advise on the sustainable exploitation of the marine fisheries resources in the waters around Ireland.
