An article about the MEESO project has been published in DTU's profile magazine DYNAMO.

A popular scientific article in the DTU profile magazine DYNAMO has been published on the potential exploitation of the mesopelagic zone: “The ocean's twilight zone is filled with life, but there is a big risk of overfishing.”

The article discusses harvesting of mesopelagic organisms 200-1000 m below sea surface as one of the potential solutions to the world food deficit, but before potentially doing so it is necessary to document that it is ecologically sustainable for the ecosystems and stocks exploited, and that appropriate governance systems are established to regulate potential exploitation.
