Summary
In Work Package 1, tasks carried out by beneficiaries of a project related to data management and dissemination. The aim of deliverable 1.4 is to ensure that data collected under the project is accurately described in the ICES online metadata catalogue. Data contributors are responsible for defining their dataset description and maintaining a correct entry in the data management plan. The ICES Data Centre has developed an online metadata catalogue system that hosts MEESO metadata sets and facilitates the collection of acoustic and biotic data in the ICES acoustic data portal. Milestones 1.8.1.9 and 1.10 were covered in the 2021-2022 period to screen collected data and use correct vocabulary, quality-controlled data files and metadata record collection carried out.
