AZTI is a technology centre with expertise in marine and food research, committed to the social and economic development of the fisheries, marine and food sector, as well as to the study of the marine environment and natural resources in the context of sustainable development. The Marine Research Division investigates to achieve a sustainable fishing activity by an economically competitive fleet, with responsible fishing practices. The Food Research Division investigates the most efficient and sustainable processing methods to produce safe, convenient and healthy seafood products.
