Status and progress in WP3 by month 36

Summary

In work package 3 with development of sustainable catch and processing methods, the focus has been divided into certain main areas covering trawl design, processing methods, content studies and bioactivity studies. Stakeholder outreach has also been valuable to determine if the fishing and the biomass caught can be viable. The results are being used towards determining the efficiency, selectivity, and possible commercial avenues to assess the viability of the commercial fishing.

Besides public videos on best survey and capture practices together with work package 2 this has also included production of a public E-Learning-Webinar-Video on Vertical Capture Strategies (learn more and see the video) which discusses different capture strategies for quantifying mesopelagic resources.
